Albrecht won the battle and Ruprecht had to withdraw to the city, where he died of dysentery on August 20th, as did his wife on September 15th, 1504. After the death of Ruprecht and Elisabeth, the Landshut War of Succession ended with great losses and Ober- and Lower Bavaria reunited after two and a half centuries: On July 30, 1505, the war ended with Maximilian's Cologne arbitration at a Reichstag in Cologne.
